Reduced Lens Therapy: Costs

Glasses are expensive, so how much does it cost to keep getting weaker and weaker glasses? How does that compare to laser correction?

ENDMYOPIA.ORG
the attemt here is to remind you that life is what you are looking at.
It's not just about the mechanics of how to improve my vision of course that comes first.
but then eventually you have to ask yourself the bigger question of
Why am I doing this ?
What am I doing this for ?
How do I integrate this with the bigger picture of life.
And to that end people always ask so what else do I do ?
because you want to move from living in front of screens
from passively consuming life,
from consuming content that's the life of other people,
or corporations that made up stuff,
to slowly migrating towards living your own life.
And what I found most effective here is little habit changes.
It's all about habitude.
You learn the basics,
You learn what causes myopia,
How to reverse myopia,
and then you make little habit changes to get there.
And one of the habit changes is using more distant vision.
the more you stare at screens,
the less you're are able to provide your eyes with a stimulus to improve distant vision.
and so you slowly idealy looking to migrate more of your free time away from screens.
How do I fill my time with distant vision.

REDUCE EYE STRAIN

HOW TO PREVENT EYE STRAIN: 10 ANTI REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURY APPS

https://glarminy.com/2015/03/21/how-to-prevent-eye-strain-10-anti-repetitive-strain-injury-apps/

ere is a list of frequently given tips on how to prevent eye strain:

position your screen about an arm’s length from your eyes with the top of the screen just below your eye level

set color and contrast tones to suit your eyes, and match the brightness of your screen with your surroundings. (I have written about these issues here and here)

minimize reflected glare on your screen by using dimmer switches on lights and a protective anti-glare screen cover. Also consider positioning your screen so that it sits perpendicular to windows and other bright light sources. If you are having trouble locating the source of the glare, turn off your monitor, then tilt and swivel your monitor until the reflection disappears (see also my posts on how to reduce glare on computer screen here and here, and on how to set up glare and reflection free computer lighting)

keep your screen free of fingerprints and dust, as both can reduce visual clarity

if you alternate between looking at your screen and paperwork, consider obtaining a clipboard that attaches alongside your monitor so that the two are at the same working distance and similar brightness

use the 20-20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes take a 20 second break and focus your eyes – it is important to focus (not just stare) – on something at least 20 feet away while blinking 20 times. This will give your eyes a much-needed break, it will relax the eye muscles which are contracted for close-up computer viewing, and reduce some of the symptoms mentioned earlier. If you are not near a window, use a photograph that you may put on a wall – preferably of nature and focus on details. Blinking is very important as it prevents dry eyes. Blinking rate tends to drop significantly when working intensely with a computer. We normally blink 12 times per minute, but when we’re on the computer, our blinking rate drops to mere 5 times per minute!

The Four Pillars.

(1)Strain reduction,

(2)Focal stimulus (exercise),

(3)Rehabilitative prescriptions,

(4)Measurements/goal tracking.

1. Eye Strain Awareness

To get super vision, we can’t let the evil forces suck away our powers. Evil forces are close-up video games, teachers, parents, homework, television. Evil forces exist, but we can limit their ability to suck our power. One hour, no problem. Five hours? The evil powers just sucked out your super vision powers.

I’m abbreviating. There’s a more extensive version of all this – just wait!

2. Focal Stimulus

Super vision exists in everyone. But it has to be harnessed. Just like Spiderman had to practice his building jumps, we need to focus. I have a range of exercises tuned to this concept, and for children, taking our focus pushing (and focus pulling) concept to that frame.

I’ll discuss some of the exercises in ‘#endmyopia Method – Super Vision’.

3. Rehabilitative Prescriptions

Every superhero has a mask. Or a cape. Or some other kind of tools of the trade. The differential and normalized prescriptions become the tools for super vision. We take this concept all the way, with appropriately interesting (or stealthy) frames.

4. Measurement and Tracking

Kids hate performance tracking. Unless … it’s super vision. Of course he / she wants to know how much closer we are to super vision. We teach the child how to do measurements and track it on their own (age dependent). Cool charts, knowing where super vision starts, and going from regular super vision to double power super vision … who could resist?
